The bears are awake, at least two bear encounters in Coal Creek Canyon have been recorded. One was scat, the other was a bear taking down bird feeders. See more:

Yesterday there were two sightings of Bighorn Sheep in Coal Creek Canyon. Amazing, and first records of such an encounter up here.

Keep your eye peel between the long straight-away and the S curve and you may get to see him.
